Day 10: Walt Disney Studios

Last time we visited Disneyland we didn’t have the time to visit the second park, the Walt Disney Studios, so we did it this year. It doesn’t necessarily have the same magical vibe but rather a more technical one, if I can say so.

This is the entrance to the studios and inside you will find a big hall with shops and restaurants.

After you exit the first studio you will be greeted by Walt Disney and his friend Mickey Mouse.

In this park we got to see more shows and gather new information about the Walt Disney Studios rather than experience rides. The first place we went was the Art of Disney Animation, where we got to see a little behind the scenes movie and concept art of early stages in the development of some characters. Right outside of the building there were these statues of Disney characters and, of course, I had to take a picture of each one of them.

After seeing the behind the scenes movie we went to see at the Animagique Theater the Mickey and the Magician show. It was an amazing show with great actors, well done choreography and songs, and the props were spectacular how they brought to life the Disney characters and magic.

Afterwards, we had to move quickly to catch the Moteurs… Action! Stunt Show Spectacular were we got to see how action scenes are made, more specifically stunts with cars and motorcycles. The stuntsman are amazing people, who manage to do mind blowing and dangerous things. The show was full of action, fire, courageous people and great directing.

This was about all the shows we got to see and after them we wandered around to see what we could try out. No one from us had the courage to ride The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or other roller coasters, so we stick to more relaxed experiences.

It really felt like you could see the real Hollywood sign up those hills.

20170904_171416 We experienced the Armageddon: The Special Effects (I still have to watch the movie…), which was pretty cool as we were like in a space ship and everything around us was coming down, we even got flames near as and then got wet, as the fire was near you and the heat was great. Then we managed to hop on the Ratatouille: The Totally Crazy Adventure of Remy, which was a unique experience. You got to wear 3D glasses and you would ride in a cup around rooms being Remy the mouse. It was incredible because, for example, it was a sequence where you would jump off a fridge onto a table and you felt like actually falling (like on a roller coaster) and at another point you got sprayed with champagne and you could feel water being sprayed at you. But I must say that at the end of the ride I felt sick because I suffer from motion sickness, so you can imagine how amazing it was for me. Still it was a unique and interesting ride.

The only thing I’m sad about not doing is the Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic but you had to wait 30-40 minutes to hop on and we were to tired to wait so much for a ride.

Lastly, I have a few more photos, which I gathered around the park.

The Walt Disney Studios were also a amazing experience and I would gladly come back to it. That was it for my Disneyland journey, I hope you liked it and hopefully all of you may manage one day to go there if you wish so. It is a magical place for both children and adults.
